PROGRAMS - PART TIME

Part-time Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), BBA & IT / Finance / Accountancy / Commerce / Banking /Human Resource Development programs.

Subject to a minimum enrollment, the college will also register students for part-time programs in above branches of degree. Late afternoon or evening classes for part-time students would be conducted at the college premises.

Duration of the program: Duration of part-time BBA program is eight semesters excluding foundation year and that of other mentioned programs is eleven semesters excluding foundation year. The course structure for the part time program is same as that of full time program. However, only five units load per semester is given in part time programs thereby increasing the duration of the program. The eleven semesters duration can be covered either in four years or in five and half years time schedule as per following options. All other existing academic regulations shall remain the same.

1. Four Year Duration

   First nine semesters can be covered in three years by opting for three semesters per year (including summer term) while the last two semesters can be covered in fourth year (without summer term). It may be noted that under this arrangement back log clearance in summer semester (SS) shall not be available.
    

2. Five and Half Year Duration

   First ten semesters can be covered in five years by opting for two semesters per year and eleventh semester can be covered in the first half of the sixth year. Under this arrangement summer semester will be available for clearing back logs, if any.

Fees: The tuition fee for each of the part time BBA & Specialization degree (other than foundation year) course is RO 5,125 to be paid in 11 equal installments. Each installment is to be paid before commencement of every semester. The tuition fees for every additional semester (beyond 11 semesters) required due to backlogs or under probation, will be RO 400.000. However, the tuition fee for foundation year (Under BBA & Specialization courses) remains RO 1,000.000 per year.

Maximum duration: A student is allowed to pursue each of the above mentioned programs for a maximum of ten years (twenty semesters), excluding the foundation year, provided he/she fulfills other academic regulations during this period.

Eligibility for admission: Student having minimum 40% marks in aggregate at the secondary / senior secondary level exams is eligible to apply for admission. The firm admission to the degree program will be granted only after and on the basis of the entrance evaluation test conducted by WCAS in Muscat or CBSE-AIEEE examination score. Students who do not qualify in the entrance evaluation test for the direct admission to the degree program will be given an option (subject to their performance in entrance evaluation test) to undergo one year foundation program.

Exit points with award of Certificate and Diploma: A student desirous of leaving part-time BBA program after successfully completing first year or second year curriculum of BBA degree program will be awarded Certificate or Diploma respectively in Business Administration.

Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA):

     Duration of the program : EMBA program is of 2 years (4 Semesters) duration

Fees: The tuition fee for this program is RO 2,000.000 per year payable in installments of RO. 1,000.000 before the commencement of every semester. Total fee for the whole program is RO 4000.000 . At the time of admission the student is required to pay a refundable caution deposit of RO 200.000. The caution deposit will be refunded to the student at the time of leaving the college. Once admitted, the paid tuition fees will not be refunded.

Maximum duration: A student is allowed to pursue EMBA degree program for a maximum of three years (Six semesters), provided he/she fulfills other academic regulations during this period.

Eligibility for admission: Student having minimum 50% marks in aggregate at the Graduate level exams and 2 years work experience is eligible to apply for admission. The firm admission to the degree program will be granted only after and on the basis of the entrance evaluation test conducted by WCAS in Muscat or valid CAT / MAT / GMAT or equivalent scores .

The original Bachelor Degree certificates and transcripts has to be submitted by the Omani Nationals before admission for getting approval from the Ministry of Higher Education, Sultanate of Oman.
