OVERVIEW:

              Waljat Colleges Placement Cell is place of amalgamation of three distinct ideas evident from three distinct positions.

  ü     For the College it is a platform where strategies to synthesize the requirements of the industry with the potentialities of the academia can be chalked out and recommended.

 ü     For the Industry it is the right place to look for budding talents and take its pick.

 ü For the Students it is the forum that gives instant boost to their career through campus recruitment in different public and private companies.

        Placement Cell functions in the college with the aim of providing career counseling and placement opportunities to graduating students through campus recruitment in different private and public companies. The Cell works by identifying and developing students' potential and constantly fine tunes the learning process to match the functional requirements of the corporate world. 

        Waljat Colleges Training & Placement Cell, provides all audio visual facilities for Power Point Presentations, written test, group discussion and interviews. It plays a very important and key role in counseling and guiding the students for their successful career placement which is a crucial interface between the stages of completion of academic program of the students and their entry into the suitable employment. This Cell also coordinates various activities related to the career of the students along with the industrial training. 

        As the college shapes outstanding global careers for its students in various fields, leading names from the industry and academia look up to us for trained , intelligent and capable minds. PLACEMENT CELL OBJECTIVES:

ü   To assist the students in getting placement in reputed organizations.

ü   To organize programs relevant to Personality Development, aptitude test etc by professionals.

ü   To organize interactive programs on career planning and emerging trends in industries between

     students and Alumni who are working in various organizations.

ü   To advise and guide the students in career development and higher studies

ü   Placement Cell also assists companies for their on-site recruitment by compiling and sending

     resumes of students. 

FACILITIES:

        The placement cell is well equipped with a PA system, OHP, LCD projectors, and a networked computer facility with broadband connectivity. Other facilities include air conditioned rooms for group discussions and interviews.

PLACEMENT PROCEDURE:

 ü   Companies are invited to the college by the Placement Cell / the companies can contact the

       Training & Placement Officer for their requirement.

ü   To the responding companies, the details of the final year students opting for placement are

       sent as per their requirement.

 ü   The company is assigned a mutually convenient date.

 ü   After confirmation by the company, a pre-placement talk is arranged on the date.

 ü   The company normally conducts written test and/or group discussion to short list the interested

       students.

 ü   The short listed students are then interviewed for final selection by the company.

 ü   The result is usually announced on the same day.

PLACEMENT RULES:

ü   Students who are eligible according to a company's criteria will be allowed to sit for their written

     test or appear for their interviews.

 ü   Once a student is selected in a company, he/she cannot appear for the test/interview of the

      next company even if he/she rejects the previous job offer.

T & P cell at Waljat Colleges is managed by a placement committee under the supervision of Training and Placement Officer.
